"I used drawing as an escape from reality when I was young. While focusing on drawing, I could stop obsessing over disturbing thoughts. Now, drawing is the medium of healing wounds of the mind and spirit. If I don't treat the wound properly, just cover it and pretend to be okay, the wound gets worse. Drawing helps me to express my feelings."
Hailing from S.Korea, Hana is a fresh illustrative artist presenting a collection of her meticulously nuanced images. Drawing inspiration from the inner self, human nature and the notion of the persona, she executes fascinating detail that invites deeper and deeper thought. She wants her work to deliver an honest part of life and should be acknowledged. her work is in turn raw and emotional while also hauntingly beautiful.
